Timeless Wedding Stories

Michael Ryan
Documentary Wedding Photographer based in St George, UT, Serving Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and Internationally

Remember high school? Those geeky kids that ran around with a camera and took out of focus photos for your yearbook of football games, choir performances and jazz band..... Yep that was me.Then I discovered fashion photography, back in the film days, it was so much fun to create beautiful, edgy images. To this day I still love to shoot fashion and editorial images.Fast forward a few years and I became a husband and a father (7 in total now) and that is when it hit me that the most important things in life were the moments and the memories that those moments make. In 2003 I shot my first wedding and as the Brits would say it was kinda "rubbish", but I fell in love with documenting weddings. Telling the story of the beginnings of a new family while those that have been together for 25, 50 or 65 years or more gather to celebrate with the new couple. Hundreds of weddings later I still love it. I love capturing the moments that will be forever treasured. The hairstyles may have changed, the dresses don't look like your mom's, the cars we drive are different and the homes we raise our families in have changed as well. Some things though are the same. The moments, the emotion of a father giving a daughter away, the first kiss of a new couple, the friends and family that come together to celebrate this moment in your life. The moments in our lives will be temporary, but the memories from those moments will be forever and I would love to capture those moments and tell the story that is you.My style of photography is documentary story telling with a splash of editorial thrown in. We would love it if you would say hello and tell us about your wedding dreams. Available for destination weddings anywhere in the world.
